About

Hi, I'm Henry Lancaster II

I am a husband of 1, dad of 3, former lobbyist and business owner, passionate advocate for environmental issues, social justice issues, public policy, human rights, and everything Jazz.

I currently sit as VP for External Affairs & Regional Director for Liberty Atlantic, a real estate development company that is focused on “building authentic partnerships and developing projects that contribute to a more productive geography”.

I began my journey as a student at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, and then moved on to the Northeastern University of School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts.

My career journey began when I was a legislative assistant to State Senator Joe P. Josephson in Juneau, AK and Special Staff Assistant to former Alaska Governor William Sheffield, with liaison responsibilities to the departments of Administration, Labor and Transportation.

Over the years, I have worked as:
  • A contract lobbyist on public lands and natural resource issues
  • Department legislative liaison in the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (under former Governor Jim Hunt’s administration)
  • Assistant Secretary for Natural Resources, and later Deputy Secretary
  • Director of Intergovernmental Relations with the North Carolina League of Municipalities
  • I transitioned to my own firm, Lancaster Craig and Associates, in 2001. Since then, I have worked with local governments, trade associations, non-profits, public universities and private business concerns to facilitate a better understanding of the Legislative Process and to promote open discussion and engagement.
I now sit on the Board Of Trustees of Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, I'm a co-founder of the HBCU Green Fund, I chair the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Workgroup with the Intentional Endowment Network. and have been recently nominated as the Project Director of the BIPOC PhD Scholars Project.
